It's time third world to help third world. We are not just people who are selfish and think of our own world, struggles or hardships. We are a part of a global community where care changes a lot of things around us.

1 child dies every minute as the famine gets worse in Africa. And more or less 13 Million people are affected by drought and famine. Lifeline teams up with the World Food Program to raise funds for our brothers in Africa who are suffering from the famine and drought in Africa.

Choose to do something about it. Run with us to change and save lives on November 13, 2011.

Participated at Run 4 Life 2011 as a volunteer photographer last May 15, 2011. Together with Lifeline volunteers, more than 1,700 made a conscious choice to run for a good cause and change countless lives. Thankful for every volunteer and runner who made this event possible. It was fun to take photos and cheer for each runner, and letting them know that their participation on this run will change lives. Looking forward to next year's run!

I am excited to see the impact of this event on people’s lives all over the Philippines and globally-- people getting healed, hopes being restored, children getting educated and empowered. This is what I believe each and everyone of us are called to be a part of. Thankful to be a part of Lifeline Foundation and to be with like-minded, compassionate and action-agad people.

Mangyan Medical Mission is coming up on May 27, 2011. If you want to volunteer, go to www.ineedalifeline.org

Lifeline Foundation has been aggressively pushing to change people's lives by organizing another medical mission at Brgy. Marawoy, Lipa, Batangas. It was a great day as Lifeline volunteers, both regular and new, come together to serve and empower the people of
Batangas.

It just shows that a small group of compassionate and pro-action people can actually change lives of countless others.

Next medical mission is just exactly one month ahead, on March 27, 2011, Lifeline Foundation will be heading back to Mulanay, Quezon.

If you want to be part of this great cause, volunteer now at www.ineedalifeline.org.

Possibly the coldest medical mission I've ever been to. It took us seven hours to get there and eleven on the way back, but it was all worth it. Lifeline Foundation's Nueva Vizcaya Medical mission last January 30, 2011 is just the first of many Medical Missions for 2011

"We'll still be bestfriends when all turns to dust." Just amazing.:)

Posted by Daniel Steven on Dec 15, '10 11:18 AM for everyone

I just turned 25 last December 12. Thankful to be alive for quarter of a century already. And for everything that has happened along the way, both good and bad, because if not for those decisions and circumstances I would not be where or who I am now.

Here are some of the things I really am thankful for:

1) That after 18 years of trying to look good, trying to please people and wondering what is it that's missing in my life, I found Jesus. And He never ceases to amaze me till now. Every day gives me a chance of a life-changing encounter.

2) That I have friends and family who support me all the way. I have met amazing people along the way who stayed with me, backed me up, fought with me, fought for me, and loved me. Friends who were there through thick and thin, and who loved me even though I felt hat at times I did not deserve it - Luis, Candace, Raffy, Judy, Janssen, Kristine, Michele, Betty, Ernest, David, Remy, Eme... I could easily fill my whole blog just with your names. They helped change my life, my perspectives, keep myself together in hard times and helped me be the best I can be.

I also am glad to have my mom and my lola, who supported me when i knew to make a stand on what I believe is true. I love you and life is great because I know I have amazing people in my life who I can count on.

3) Rufi. Yes you are wonderful, amazing, and a bit demanding a times (for food and lambing). But having this amazing cat/tiger/awesome fur ball with me through fun and rough times taught me that when you say you'll take care of someone or something, you never let go of them even when facing tough times. All the more you can grow by facing hardships and still not lose your ability to love and care. (Thank you for that lesson, Luis. That changed me. And that was good growth.^_^)

4) Lifeline Foundation, Inc. A little compassion goes a long way. If you combine different individuals who care and are willing to act on what they notice, then changing the world is indeed possible. I am a living witness of this. If you want to be part of it, visit www.ineedalifeline.org.

5) Jer 29:11, Rom 8:28, John 10:10 and Heb 13:5. God's word and promise for me, and anyone else who loves it enough to accept it and take it as their own. These scriptures anchored me to purpose, to knowing that everything (the good, the bad and the ugly) will work out for my good. And whatever happens, whatever I go through, God will never, ever let go of me or leave me. It keeps my head held high with dignity, and strengthens me to stand up and keep moving forward each time I fall. It also reminds me that God has planned out an amazing life for you and me, and its only good!

I look forward to more amazing years ahead. And I know it will only keep on getting better and better.

Now here's what I hate, I could only think of one right now since its on my mind:

1) Lies and gossip. I hate it that people find it easy to believe and accept lies even though they haven't done their homework. i hate it that some people are gullible enough to just hear out a lie and accept it as true, without checking the facts.

I am saying this because my good friend, Jose Luis Gonzalez was falsely and maliciously accused of estafa by Henry and Vicky Sumbillo. They even said that Luis is capable of "hypnotizing" (I wouldn't be surprised if they start saying that he can also levitate or use the "force", the way things are going.) And the annoying part is that people actually believe these liars!

I actually call out anyone who read these blog to look for truth and in the age of itchy-ears, lets be sensible and not be gullible. Read our story at www.justiceforlifelinedirector.com

Last December 3, 2010, we went to Brgy. Udalo, Occidental Mindoro as Lifeline Foundation continues to serve and empower our Mangyan brothers through our 2nd Mangyan Medical Mission this year. It was a good day of work, and it was all worth it-- we got to help more than 500 families (the lines felt as if they would never end. ^__^) and even got reunited with some of the Mangyans who went to last May's medical mission. Seeing them again, makes me feel that we already share a bond and a commitment o be there to help them.

It was a wonderful experience, I would never grow tired of going to Lifeline's missions, it gives me a sense of knowing that there's more to life than just thinking about me, myself and I or the bills. And I know that everyone shares a sense of wanting to count on something bigger than their own lives and to have an impact in this world. I am sure that I am a crucial part in helping change people's lives, and by doing so I know that my life is being changed as well.

I am glad to meet amazing new volunteers in this mission. All that matters is that we have the same compassion to help and willingness to act. If you have that, then you'll quickly fit in.

Lifeline Foundation has been part of my life for almost seven years, and i am only thankful to be with people are passionate in changing the world and would go out of their way to do so, people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work.

I am also glad that despite all the attacks and lies being spread about our director and a good friend of mine, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Lifeline keeps on pursuing our goals and won't stop the good that we have started. I am angry at how people who used to be our friends would turn their back on us, backstab and maliciously try to hurt our director and his reputation! I stand by the truth and my friend who has done nothing but to care and help people. Please visit www.justiceforlifelinedirector.com to read about what really happened and support our cause for justice for an innocent man!

If you want to help out lifeline and stand with us as we fight for empowerment, positive change and light in this nation, visit www.justiceforlifelinedirector.com and www.ineedalifeline.org.

I believe in TRUTH and I will stand up for it. I believe that an innocent man deserves justice.

I know Luis Gonzalez for years- as a friend, a brother, and as the director of Lifeline Foundation. And I hate it that people have spread lies against him and used lies, influence and bribery to destroy his reputation.

Visit the site, read our story and join our cause in attaining justice and shedding light against corruption and greed in justice system of the Philippines.

Last September 5, 2010, I went with 70 other Lifeline Foundation volunteers to Florida Blanca, Pampanga to conduct a medical mission for the members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and their families. To our surprise, we found out that instead of serving our Air Force, PAF has organized the medical mission for the people of Florida Blanca, complete with volunteer soldiers who helped in haircutting, ushering, security and even entertainment.

We found out that these soldiers of the Air Force have been helping out the community prior to this mission, such as gift-giving (out of the soldiers' own pockets) after Ondoy struck, and various community service activities. I am glad to see how our soldiers really went out of their way, even though its not part of their main duties and responsibilities, to serve other people. I am proud of our Air Force and it was great to partner with them.

There were a lot of new Lifeline volunteers who came with us for this mission too. We are indeed growing, and I'm glad that Lifeline is becoming a great tool in getting people who have a sense of purpose and compassion together in bringing a growing tide of change. I believe that if there's a group of people who wants to bring change into the world and back up those intentions with REAL action, then nothing is impossible. This mission proves it.

At the end of the day, we got to help 820 Kapampangans, including Aetas. It was a  day of good work, and its worth it.

On October 8, 2010, The Dawn, True Faith and Bamboo will have a concert at Metrobar, West Ave, Q.C for the benefit of my friend, Kcat, who was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type2. A percentage from the sales of the tickets will go directly to the payment for Kcat's cochlear implant device.

Kcat is a graphic artist who also writes a weekly-column in Manila Bulletin. She was diagnosed with NF2, a rare disease that has affected her hearing, seeing, left hand and leg as well as her speech-- but she is a fighter and we back her up. We are praying for her and firmly believe that God has healed her already. She amazes me since she refuses to be a victim and will not let the disease stop her from living a wonderful life. You can read more about her in her blog, http://www.kcatyarza.com/Home_Page.php

Here's your chance to enjoy good music, have fun and get the satisfaction from being able to help out and change someone's life.

Tickets are sold at only Php600.
To reserve or order, please contact MADGE YARZA at 0927-2459400 | 5336976 | 0922-5113735 or ymadge@yahoo.com

Last August 10, 2010, The Lifeline Foundation team went to Barangay Immaculate Concepcion, Cubao, Quezon City. It was a good day of rewarding work. We've met
new volunteers, talked and took photos with members of the community, had free
lunch (thank you, Jollibee!), and went home satisfied knowing that our lives
just got bigger.

I love how Lifeline is expanding its medical missions to Quezon City, where I grew up,
and that more and more people are partnering with us in making a difference in people's
lives. I do believe that each of us has a calling and an innate sense of purpose
and to want to make an impact- Living and not just existing.

In an age of people getting used to complaining and blaming other people about circumstances around them, or being busy living their own lives, I am glad to meet
and be with people who actually recognize what needs to be done
and do something about it.

If you want to be a life-changer, here's your great opportunity.

We spent July 16 and 17 at La Luz, Laiya, Batangas in celebration of ArtOne's 19th anniversary. Had so much fun eating (a lot), swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, walking
around the beach and playing "connect-disconect".

It was an amazing, stress-free weekend spent with good friends from the office.
